A Solid Foundation
Raptor XL600 & XL900 cone crushers are designed to use the same four arm lower frame with a countershaft supported by one of the four arms. A strong rigid frame is critical to the success of these crushers.

Integral Countershaft
The countershaft is inside one of the four arms which permits a stronger frame design and avoids common
pitfalls associated with an external countershaft box .

Structural Integrity
The critical load bearing components meet specifications that meet and typical exceed what is typically offered
in a cone crusher. Our major components are cast with a high grade steel specification and our eccentric
material selection provides greater certainty of a reliable surface finish even after years of service.

One Becomes Two
Both the XL600 and the XL900 are constructed and driven by a mainframe and countershaft configuration. Structurally designed to support a 900 horsepower cone crusher, you can rest assured that these robust units are designed to ensure a long life for these key structural components.

Similar but Unique
The XL600 is designed to operate and be mechanically sound at lower eccentric speeds. The eccentric speed can be selected to maximize throughput, size reduction, product shape or product yield. The 1.65 meter [65”] crushing head uses the same eccentric motion as our highly successful Raptor XL300 and XL400 cone crushers.

Pushing Through Limits
The XL900 leaps forward with a higher pivot point and larger crushing stroke to provide the most productive 1.8 meter [70”] head diameter cone crusher ever manufactured. The dynamics of the XL900 allow more crushing to take place from the first nip at the feed opening and continuously until the material exits the parallel zone.

Compact Design for Ease of Installation
The XL600 and XL900 can both easily be installed to replace cone crushers with a 1.5 meter [59”] head diameter or larger without major modifications to foundations or feed arrangements.

Automation
Excel’s Raptor cone crushers use advanced overload sensing technology to detect crushing force overload. A simple alarm can activated. If desired our advanced automation system can take the necessary corrective action. The same advanced automation system can be used to optimize the crusher performancewith feed control, setting adjustment and monitoring of critical lubrication and hydraulic parameters.

Security
Raptor cone crushers employ “Fail Safe” hydraulics to ensure the machines stay protected from mechanical overload should an accumulator bladder fail. The machine requires only one accumulator to operate safely and reliably. Should the accumulator fail and internal relief valve within the dual acting tramp release cylinders provides an immediate alternative protection of the Raptor cone crusher from severe and costly structural damage. Another standard safety feature is the counterclockwise rotation crushing action which prevents the machine from self tightening the setting when adjustment ring movement is excessive or if the ring gear brake fails.
The Very Best Bronze Bearing Technology
The Raptor Cone Crushers utilize bronze sleeve bearings for all moving load bearing or load transmission internal components. Our bronze technology is custom engineered to meet the specific application demand which include:

Countershaft Bushings for operation over a wide range of speeds    without bearing failure.

Thrust Bearings to support the high performance rotating eccentric.

Head Bushing and Eccentric Bushings which absorb normal operating    loads and intermittent overloads such as tramp metal events.

Socket Liner to provide support for the head and the dominant
   vertical loads
